Nate who?

Nate Robinson. I'm in my second season as a guard for the New York Knicks.

I was a first-round draft pick out of the University of Washington, where I helped take the Huskies to the Sweet 16.

It’s been a long road from high school. No one wanted to give me a chance in hoops at first – don’t know if they thought I was too small or what – but they underestimated me. I even went to Washington on a football scholarship before convincing Coach Romar I could make an impact on the hardwood. Now I'm gonna be the next big thing in the NBA -- even though I'm 5-foot-9.

Time to play catch-up

Posted: Sunday, January 21 at 09:45 pm ET by Nate Robinson

I was kind of nervous when I came back from suspension. My teammates and fans welcomed me back with open arms and it was fun and exciting to be back on the floor.

There was some talk that I was rusty after missing 10 games, but I don’t think that was the case.

I just wanted to play and get involved and feel the vibe a little bit. I was just going through the plays and trying to be patient and let things come to me. I wasn’t rusty at all.

I haven’t played a whole lot since my return, but that’s OK. I mean it’s a little frustrating to have to play catch-up. As a player, I know I can play and I know I can do everything that I’m supposed to do.

But we have a coach who knows what he’s doing, and I respect Isiah’s decisions all the way.

I’m just waiting for my number to be called, and hopefully, when it is I’ll get in there and catch fire!

The main thing I care about, though, is winning. And it’s been great to see us winning more in our last few games (4-2 in last six, 8-6 since Nuggets game), and we just lost a close one (to Washington) that we should have won.

We’re doing a much better job out there as a team.

Nate, please drop the gum. You don't look good chewing it and it's a distraction.

Hey just want to say thanks for bringing excitement back to the knicks. I hope u stick around here for a while. In your opinion how far are we from going to the finals. Will thomas still be the coach next year. What addition do u think we need in the offense. take care. Which team is your biggest rivalry.
