Nate who?

Nate Robinson. I'm in my second season as a guard for the New York Knicks.

I was a first-round draft pick out of the University of Washington, where I helped take the Huskies to the Sweet 16.

It’s been a long road from high school. No one wanted to give me a chance in hoops at first – don’t know if they thought I was too small or what – but they underestimated me. I even went to Washington on a football scholarship before convincing Coach Romar I could make an impact on the hardwood. Now I'm gonna be the next big thing in the NBA -- even though I'm 5-foot-9.

Pick Mavs to win title

Posted: Wednesday, April 25 at 12:05 am ET by Nate Robinson

The NBA playoffs will be interesting to watch as there are dangerous teams in both the East and the West.

It would be kind of good to see a team from the East win again, since everyone says the West is best. So I wouldn’t mind seeing Miami win it again.

The West has several teams that can go all the way. The Rockets are an interesting team with both Yao and T-Mac. It’s tough to stop both of those guys. They also have role players playing well like Luther Head.

The Warriors are a tough team, too. I love Baron Davis, and Monta Ellis and Matt Barnes are friends of mine. I think they’re  a dangerous team if they can somehow get past the Mavericks.

In the East, Miami might win it again, but I think I’m going to pick the Pistons to come out of the East. They’ve played together so long and well, and they share the ball. They know what to do to win.

So it will be Detroit in the East, and even though I think Golden State is dangerous, I’m going to pick Dallas to come out of the West. Like last year, I’m picking the Mavericks to take the title. I have to root for another Seattle guy, Jason Terry.

Very good picks!!!!! I also think Double-d's will represent the E&W this year. I am born and raised in Detroit, but i think the Little General time is now!!!

Yo Nate,

What can you tell me about how Randolph Morris looks in practice? Do you think he can contribute next year?

Is he more of a center or a power forward?

I've been following him the past 2 yrs at Kentucky and he looked good.

I agree with your Detroit pick, though the Cavs will have a much easier time making it to the ECF. From the West, I like Houston, even though it's more of a stretch. Both Dallas and SA showed that they can be beat at home in the playoffs, but the Suns seem like they still have everything running on all cylinders. Good luck with your off season work. Can't wait for the Knick season to start again.

Hey Nate,

I was wondering what you thought of the Chicago Bulls. I know it is early...bulls up 2-0...do you think they are for real.

Whats the deal with the Mavs? I thought they were the favorite picked to win it all, but now they face elimination by the Warriors. Who do you think will come out of the West now? As far as the East goes I pick Chi-town for some reason even though I am from Detroit.

I bet on the Phoenix Suns taking it all.

I'm glad I didn't bet with your picks.
